A Ton of Garden, A Tiny Space: Vegetables for a 4″Container

Why hello,

I hope things are going well for you.

By the time I’m done with you, you’ll be building shelves in front of your sunniest window. This series is especially for the apartment dweller, who thinks that they can’t grow their own food.

I assure you that you can.

Today, we will start with the tiny 4″pot.

The number following the variety refers to how many plants you can squeeze in.

Let’s begin.

Vegetables for 4″ pots:

  • Houng Kumi — 1

  • Chinese or Daffodil — 2 or 3
  • Garden Chives — 2 or 3

Okay, so that was a little anticlimactic, but it is a start.

Just wait ’til you see all the stuff we can jam into 6″ pots. It gets much much better I promise.

Check back for what you can grow in bigger pots, hanging baskets and tubs. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Go ahead and check out the free seed stuff in the freebie category to the right, while I get my container plantings in order.

Don’t forget to check out:

Big Bucket, Bushel Basket or Tub vegetables
